The Blue Hole: This spot of the sea was given this name due to its color which is different and darker from the rest of the sea water surrounding it, it is one of the most famous tourist places suitable for free diving, the depth of this area exceeds approximately 130 meters. This spot is famous because of its name, which was given to it due to the drowning of many of the world’s most skilled divers, so it is called the “divers’ cemetery”, on the shore of this spot there is a memorial with the names of most of those who died by drowning there. After diving in the blue hole area at a distance, there is a sea cave called “the Arch” which is one of the world’s most dangerous sea caves, the length of this tunnel is approximately 26 meters. Most of the death incidents that occurred there were almost in this area, and because of these repeated incidents, rumors spread at first among the Bedouin residents of the city, and they composed a story that these incidents were due to the fact that there was a girl in the village who committed suicide in this spot a long time ago, which led to a change in the color of the water in this area and killing anyone who tried to dive there. Nevertheless, with the discovery of the area and the continuous search of divers, it was found that all those who were exposed to death did not adhere to the instructions for diving there, and because they were professional, they thought that the matter was easy, but some might get lost in the tunnel area that connects the hole with open sea water, so they could not get out quickly which might lead to a lack of oxygen for them and thus they drown, in addition, this area is exposed to opposite water currents, which leads to divers remaining stationary at that time without being able to move, thus oxygen decreases and they die, and there were corpses that disappeared and could not be found. Despite these explanations, this area is still a mystery to many, but with adherence to the instructions there you can dive safely. It is said that this hole may have been caused by the collision of a rock or meteors that fell from the sky, and the Blue Hole features many eye-catching coral reefs and diverse marine organisms.
